A commitment to precision and patient-centered orthopedic care.

Dr. Ingrid Sørensen is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in sports medicine and joint preservation. After completing her medical degree at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, she pursued residency training at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen and a fellowship in sports medicine at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado.

Her surgical practice focuses on arthroscopic procedures, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and joint-preserving osteotomies. She has particular expertise in treating complex knee injuries in athletes and active individuals of all ages.

Dr. Sørensen serves as the Head of Orthopedic Surgery at Nordic Medical Center and is a team physician for the national ski federation. She believes that the best surgical outcomes begin with thorough diagnosis, patient education, and individualized rehabilitation protocols.

Her research interests include biomechanics of the ACL, cartilage regeneration techniques, and return-to-sport protocols following major knee reconstruction. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed orthopedic journals and presents regularly at international conferences.

Outside the operating room, Dr. Sørensen is passionate about injury prevention in youth sports and has developed community programs to reduce ACL injuries in adolescent athletes through neuromuscular training.

She is fluent in Swedish, Danish, English, and German, and welcomes international patients seeking specialized orthopedic care.
